DESIGN PROCESS

Inspiration:

I wanted to create my stop motion short film using a silhouette, paper-cut method which I preferred as it reminded me of the vintage silhouette animations that were quite familiar to me during childhood.

These are some of the silhouette paper-cut videos that inspired me for this final project:

1. 'Puss in Boots' -  Lotte Reiniger

2. 'Untitled' - Pan TS


For the actual content itself, I wanted to loosely base my stop motion of Sylvia Plath's poem, 'Edge'. I'm only extracting some elements from the poem, specifically the characters and setting.
