Lecture 1: Masking & Compositing
(28/08/18) Week 1
(Couldn't attend - Late reporting as a new international student)
Exercise 1: Hearst Mansion (Week 1)
I wasn't really sure of what exactly was expected to be done as I missed the first lecture. Though, I was able to understand the general idea of the task through the instructions that were given:
- "Using your own photo, "Photoshop" yourself into Hearst Mansion, use the technique learned in class to make the recomposed photo believable."
I relied mostly on the basic techniques that I knew to do this task as I didn't get the chance to learn the specific kind of technique that was taught in the first lecture.
Firstly, I searched for a picture of the Hearst Mansion and found a picture that I wanted to work with. During this time, I wasn't aware that a specific picture of the mansion was already given.

Lecture 3: Masking, Matching Color, Transparency & Blending Modes
(14/09/18) Week 3
For this lecture, we were instructed to refer to a YouTube tutorial to learn how to mask, match color, utilize transparency and blending modes.
Before doing the 'Ghost House' exercise, I did a practice where I attempted to photoshop the house that will later be used for the 'Ghost House' exercise into a sunset scene background.

(08/10/18) Week 7
For this week's exercise, we were given a task to recreate Castle of Pyrenees as we are further delving into digital surrealism. I decided I wanted to do something simple that expresses a calm ambiance.
