FEEDBACK
Week 8:
Specific feedback: Mr. Vinod said that the cover of the book should be able to be expressive enough. Other than that, he advised us to be sure to work on the animations as well.
Week 9:
Specific feedback: Mr. Vinod advised that my e-book should have bigger text in general as it would not be legible enough for the iPad users. Hence, as I would have to enlarge the text, this would change the whole layout greatly.
Week 10:
Specific feedback: Mr. Vinod told be to change and look more into the background of my book cover as there are some corrections needed to be done.
REFLECTIONS
Observations
I noticed that the gifs I made for the e-book were way too pixelated for my liking. I mainly just used Illustrator and Photoshop to create my gifs and my After Effects application was not functioning. Hence, I need to either find a way to get After Effects or try to find a solution to improve the pixelation of the gifs.
Experiences
I experienced quite a lot of difficulties trying to export my series of gifs in different ways to prevent pixelation. Yet, the gifs were still quite pixelated, although it was an improvement from the first few attempts.
Findings
I found that my gifs looked fine as long as it was not transformed and expanded in size. However, for my e-book, I need to expand the gifs to a larger size as that's how I intended them to be as the illustrations were originally large in size. Though, now I'm unsure whether I should think of a different way to lay my illustrations out or to further find other solutions to this issue.
